5 years in prison for the person who attacked paramedics with an oxygen cylinder

The person who attacked doctors, nurses and security guards in Trabzon received a 5-year prison sentence.

During the decision hearing at the Trabzon 4th Criminal Court of First Instance, the defendant İhsan Aydın stated that he did not accept the accusations.

Defending that there was no criminal intent, Aydın demanded his acquittal.

Following the statements of the defendant and the lawyers of the complainants, the judge decided to acquit the defendant on the charge of “gun injury and attempted”.

Defendant Aydın has been sentenced to 5 months in prison for “damaging public property”, 5 months for “resisting not to perform duty”, 3 years 1 month and 15 days for “threatening with gun” and 1 year and 15 days for violation of workplace immunity. He was sentenced.

Aydın and his relatives, whose 65-year-old father died on April 26, 2020 at Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) Faculty of Medicine Farabi Hospital, discussed with the hospital staff.

As the dispute escalated, the relatives of the patients attacked the emergency room doctor Esra Ersöz Genç and nurse Merve Aydın and security guards with an oxygen tube, and İhsan Aydın, who was taken into custody, was released pending trial.
