In the summer months, in the scorching heat, the hot springs, where citizens seek healing for various diseases by swimming in their pools, continue to host their guests in the harsh winter season. The outdoor pools of the hot springs, which are covered with snow for 6 months of the year, attract the attention of the citizens despite the freezing cold.
Spa facility operator Mahmut Özden said that they have expanded their facilities with state support in recent years. Stating that there are private pools and public pools for families, Özden said: “We have home-type spas with rooms above and pools below. Our facility is very good and we are trying to provide better service. A group of tourists from the United States came here. They entered the spa in the air and were very satisfied. If we want to serve better, we need to make investments here. The hot spring relaxes the body and is healing. The mineral-rich spa water is very good for rheumatism, low back pain, vascular occlusion and skin diseases “
Fatih Koç, who came from Van, said that despite the cold weather in the region, they came to Diyadin to enter the hot spring all seasons of the year. Abdullah Arı, one of the visitors, explained that he came from Van because he has various diseases and said, “I have been coming here to enter the spa almost every week for a year. I see it very useful. We always come because we are satisfied with the water.”
