Assoc. Dr. Delta variant explanation from Ümit Savaşçı – Health News

The new type of corona virus (Covid-19) epidemic continues to affect the whole world.

While the vaccination efforts accelerated within the scope of the fight against the epidemic provide some relief, on the other hand, the Covid-19 Delta variant, which emerged in India, refreshes the concerns.

Delta variant has been detected in 134 cases in 16 provinces across Turkey so far.

“THIS IS THE VACCINE THAT WILL END THE DELTA VARIANT”

Making a statement on the subject, Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Specialist Assoc. Hope WarriorHe stated that it is the vaccine that will end the Delta variant.

“THE ONE POINT TO BREAK THE SPREAD OF THE VACCINE VIRUS”

Stating that we do not have a very close relationship with India, Savaşçı said, “Even though their protection is low, the vaccine is the only point that can break the spread of the virus to humans. Therefore, as long as the vaccines are made and our vaccination program of more than 1 million a day continues, the Delta variant will not affect us much.”

Stating that there will not be much spread like the UK variant, Savaşçı continued his statement as follows:

“Like the South African mutation, it will remain somewhat limited in size. But the contagion rate is slightly higher. The ‘Delta Plus’ mutation is even more contagious; But as long as there is vaccination, these mutations will have no effect in terms of the 4th wave.”

“VACCINES ARE EFFECTIVE AGAINST THIS MUTATION”

Expressing that Delta Plus is a bit of a concern in terms of both avoiding the protection of vaccines and being able to transmit more quickly, Assoc. The warrior said, “It is not in a size that will make us pessimistic. mRNA vaccines are still effective against this mutation,” he said.
