CDC: Wearing a fabric mask on the surgical mask reduces the risk of corona virus by 95 percent – health news

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that surgical masks worn under fabric masks can significantly increase protection against Covid-19.

In the study, the spread of droplets between two people was simulated. It was seen that the transmission of the virus decreased by around 95 percent if both sides wore double masks.

The authors of the study said, “The use of double masks is a very effective tool to stop the spread of the corona virus when combined with other protective measures such as physical distance, avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated interiors, and good hand hygiene.”

116 THOUSAND PEOPLE LIVES CAN BE SAVED

Research conducted by the Institute for Health Measurements and Evaluation also revealed that 95 percent of people wearing masks in public places could save the lives of more than 116,000 people in the country by June 1.

On the other hand, the CDC suggested that the public wear a fabric mask for the first time in April 2020, when the pandemic hit North America hard. However, it was not specified what kind of fabrics could be used.
