Corona virus survivors will be exposed to the virus for the second time – health news

Oxford University announced that they received ethical approval for a human clinical trial to measure the response of their immune system if people who had coronavirus were infected for the second time.

“The purpose of this study is to determine what type of immune response prevents reinfection,” said Professor Helen McShane. People who will participate in the clinical trial are expected to be determined next week.

With this clinical trial, the Oxford team will measure the levels of various components of the participants’ immune response, including T cells and antibodies, and then track whether participants are re-infected when exposed to the virus.

LOW RISK PERSONS WILL BE SELECTED

Participants must be healthy, at low risk, between the ages of 18 and 30, and have had coronavirus at least three months before participating in the experiment.

It was also stated that these people should have had antibodies against the corona virus, as well as having a positive Covid PCR test.
