Heart inflammation found in people aged 30 and younger who had the Covid-19 vaccine

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has warned that there may be a “possible relationship” between the vaccine and heart inflammation, which is mostly seen in adults aged 30 and younger after receiving the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

In the briefing, it was mentioned that more than 1,200 heart muscle and pericardial inflammations were seen in the group aged 30 and under, who mostly had one of the vaccines of Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna.

Heading the study, Dr. “Cases of myocardial infarction were evident following vaccination, and often manifested as generalized chest pain within the week after the second dose,” said Grace Lee.

Lee said CDC officials are trying to gather more data to fully understand how to manage potential risks and whether it’s a long-term issue.
