It turned out that one in three people caught in the new type of corona virus (Covid-19) experienced psychological or neurological disorders.
According to the study published in the Lancet Psychiatry medical journal and examining 236 thousand people from the USA, 34 percent of those who caught Covid-19 had neurological or psychological disorders within six months of being infected.
While “anxiety” was common in 17 percent of the patients, 14 percent were diagnosed with “mood disorder”.
Neurological effects were more common in those hospitalized due to Covid-19.
One out of every 50 people with Covid-19 experienced “ischemic stroke” due to a decrease in blood flow as a result of narrowing or clogging in the blood vessels of the brain.
