Science explained: plain coffee is good for the heart

According to research conducted by the American Heart Association, it turned out that drinking at least one cup of coffee a day reduces your risk of heart failure, while drinking more than one cup of coffee further reduces this risk.

The study, conducted by the American Heart Association and published in the Association’s journal Circulation: Heart Failure, has been conducted on more than 5,000 people who have been living in Framingham, Massachusetts since 1948 and have not been diagnosed with heart disease.

People followed for 72 years were studied over three generations. The data collected was analyzed over 10 years and combined with the data of more than 21,000 people with cardiovascular risk.
