Sugar rate will decrease in chocolate | NTV


The “Guide for Reducing Sugar Consumption” was prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, General Directorate of Public Health and the Federation of Turkish Food and Beverage Industry Associations.

SUGAR IN CHOCOLATE AND SNACK FOOD WILL BE REDUCED BY 10 PERCENT

According to the guide, sugar content will be reduced by 10 percent in many products, including chocolate, confectionery products, energy bars, packaged desserts, sandwich sauces, nut-peanut butters and biscuits.

The sugar content will be gradually reduced until 2025. As part of the cooperation, food manufacturers made a voluntary commitment to reduce sugar consumption.
