Coronavirus cases are increasing in all states across the US. The number of cases increased by 70 percent compared to the previous week. There was a 26 percent increase in casualties.
Rochelle Walensky, Director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, pointed out that new cases are seen in unvaccinated people. He said the epidemic was on its way to becoming a “pandemic of the unvaccinated”.
He pointed out that 97 percent of those hospitalized were unvaccinated cases.
Walensky highlighted the importance of vaccination in the fight against the pandemic, noting that fully vaccinated people are protected against severe illness, hospitalization and death.
He said their biggest concern is to continue to face severe cases and even deaths that could be prevented by vaccines. He called for vaccination.

In the statement made by the White House, it was noted that it is expected to increase in the coming weeks, especially in regions where vaccination is low.
The total number of daily cases worldwide, which dropped below 500 thousand at the end of May, has risen to over 500 thousand again.
The countries with the highest number of cases are Indonesia, England and India.
Experts say that countries should speed up their vaccination campaigns in order to control the epidemic.
